Gerti Tröbinger
- Date of Birth: January 9, 1959, in Linz, Austria
- Gerti Tröbinger has been involved in theater and puppetry since her training as a kindergarten teacher and speech therapist.
- During her puppetry training from 1993 to 1996, she founded the first puppet theater group and performed with various ensembles (Gerti Tröbinger & Maria Dürrhammer, Gerti Tröbinger & Ruth Humer, IMAGO-International, potatello kompanii, Wiener Weiberstammtisch, Erste Abwaschbare Damenkapelle, Verein denk:spiel).
- Since 2001, with the establishment of the one-woman solo theater "Figurentheater Gerti Tröbinger," she has worked as an independent puppeteer and puppet builder.
- Building upon puppetry as a solid foundation, she continually expands her artistic vocabulary, exploring visual arts, mime, clown theater, dance, and music, thereby creating her experimental performance spaces.
- She works as a set designer and puppet builder for various groups and theaters, provides puppetry courses for children and adults, directs productions, and is dedicated to cultural initiatives that promote puppet theater.
- Artistic Director of the "International Welser Figurentheaterfestival" since 2009.
Maximilian Tröbinger
- Date of Birth: January 23, 1989, in Linz, Austria
- Maximilian Tröbinger began his journey in theater and puppetry as a child, creating and performing with puppets. He received his initial training in acting, dance, and singing with the "Kindermusicalcompany Linz."
- His passion for puppetry was ignited while working as a staff member at the "International Welser Figurentheaterfestival" (Wels, Austria).
- From 2016 to 2020, he pursued a degree in "Contemporary Puppetry" at the Ernst Busch University of Performing Arts in Berlin.
- Maximilian is actively involved in developing a repertoire for traveling puppet shows that cater to both children and adults. He works as a solo puppeteer and collaborates with various ensembles, including "Tröbinger & Tröbinger-Figurentheater."
- He has also been a guest performer at renowned venues such as "Schaubude Berlin" and the "Theater St. Gallen."
