Gottlieb! Es brennt!
A theatrical string quartet with puppets and humans, loosely based on Max Frisch's "Biedermann und die Brandstifter" (The Fire Raisers).
A puppet theater production for ages 14 and up
We humans repeatedly fall prey to the arsonists of our time. The leaders, ideologues, and gurus who take up residence in our souls, minds, and attics.
Out of fear for our comfort, we invite them to enjoy salon music and roast goose - under the motto: It's better to have many friends than to stand out unpleasantly!
The Biedermann Quartet presents "The Inferno," a theatrical sonata in four movements:
- Movement: Menschlichkeit – giusto ma non troppo (appropriate, but not too much)
- Movement: Barmherzigkeit – moderato con dolore (moderate, with sorrow)
- Movement: Zivilcourage – risoluto ma non tanto (resolute, but not too much)
- Movement: Grande finale – con brio molto inferno quasi infernale
